Holsworthy Community College teams shine in futsal tournament

TEAMS from Years 8 and 9 at Holsworthy Community College have progressed from a futsal tournament held in the town.

They overcame sides from Shebbear College and St Joseph's School, Launceston.

The tournament was wide open after Shebbear's match with St Joseph's was drawn 3-3 and the meeting between the Holsworthy teams also finished in a draw.

Holsworthy Year 9s were defeated by St Joseph's but the Year 8s (pictured) defeated Shebbear and then went on to beat St Joseph's 6-1 with Ben Furber and Jay Thomas starring.

In the final match, the Year 9s won 3-1 against St Joseph's.
