Women’s Futsal League Weekend Results

In Women’s Futsal League action inside the Warwick Academy Gymnasium saw fans treated to three exciting games that saw 32 goals in total.

Dandy Stars 8 Footy Force Stars 7
A great game opened the evening as the Dandy Stars got off to a quick start before Footy was able to settle down. At half-time the score was even at 2 all. The second-half was a see-saw battle as each team scored a goal which was swiftly answered by the other team. In the end, Dandy Stars managed to hold on for the win.

Kyla Ramatar led the Dandy Stars to victory with 4 goals, while Shonte Campbell who was the pick of the players for Dandy Stars added two goals, Cleshaunae Darrell-Virgil and DaZahree Place added a goal each. Zara Gibbons and Jahziyah Samuels scred two goals apiece for Footy Frce, while the outstanding player for Footy Force Chyra Bell added a goal along with LeiLanni Nesbeth and Jada Samuels

PHC Lady Zebras 5 Somerset Hurricanes 3
A battle between the two undefeated teams saw the PHC Lady Zebras triumph in the end. The game was very tense from the beginning, with neither team able to score thanks to some great goal keeping by both keepers. At half-time the score remained at 0 -o 0. In the second-half, PHC overpowered their opponents to pull away at the end scoring 5 goals to Somerset Hurricanes’ 3.

Jessica Furtado was outstanding for PHC she scored twice as did Aaliyah Nolan and Taznae Fubler scored the other. Nasay Burgess was the MVP for the Somerset Hurricanes who got a goal from Shauntae Todd, Deshae Darrell and Eva Frazzoni, with this win, the PHC Lady Zebras now lead the league.

Hamilton Parish 6 Young Men Social Club 3
Another entertaining and fairly even match saw both teams unable to gain the upper hand and the score at half-time was 1 all. However, in the second-half, Hamilton Parish pulled ahead scoring 5 goals to Young Men Social Club’s 2. Women’s National Team 11-aside coach Naquita Robinson showed her younger players that there is no substitute for experience scoring a hat trick to lead Hamilton Parish to victory.

Satyrah Robinson was outstanding in goal for Young Men Social Club making a number of fine saves to keep them in the game. Jayda Hill-Steede, Destiny Hill and Keisha Holis added a goal each for Hamilton Parish. Rachel Smith, Jahdayna Samuel and Kyanne Scott Fisherman all found the back of the net once for the Young Men Social Club.
