Italy go to the EURO with six AGLA-MEN

Today the UEFA European Futsal Championship begins in Antwerp. AGLA is the main protagonist of the Italian squad in Belgium. Of the 14 players selected by coach Roberto Menichelli , there are six from the AGLA stable . They are the goalkeeper STEFANO MAMMARELLA (shirt number 1) from Acqua & Sapone Emmegross; and outfield players MASSIMO DE LUCA (number 7) of Real Rieti; MARCO ERCOLESSI (number 2), HUMBERTO HONORIO (number 6) and ALEX MERLIM (number 10) from Alter Ego Luparense; and RODOLFO FORTINO (number 9) of Asti .

The Azzurri have been drawn in Group C which will be played, as all the group games, in the Lotto Arena with a capacity of 5,218 seats. They will make their debut tomorrow, Wednesday January 29th at 20.45 against Slovenia (live on Eurosport 2 ), while on Sunday, February 2nd they will face Azerbaijan at 18.30. The opening match of Belgium 2014 (Russia - Holland ) is scheduled for today, Tuesday 28 January at 18.30 hrs. The final - and the third place playoff - will be played on Saturday, February 8th at the Sportpaleis , an imposing hall that can accommodate 15000 spectators. The European Championships will move to this arena from the quarter -finals, which will be contested by the top two of each of the four groups . Belgium 2014 will have television coverage on Eurosport. The four groups are as follows: in Group A are Belgium , Ukraine and Romania; in Group B are Russia, Portugal and the Netherlands; the Group C consists of Italy , Slovenia and Azerbaijan and Group D has Spain, Czech Republic and Croatia.
