By Doug Reed @DougReedFutsalSergio Lozano, awarded Best Player of the Year 2013 in the Agla Awards, has given his reaction to receiving the prize. "It is something that you dream about as a child but you never believe that you can achieve it. Thank you so much to everyone."
He becomes the third Spanish player to win the award after Javi Rodriguez in 2005 and Kike Boned in 2009. He takes the title from Falcao who has won it an incredible 4 times, the only other player to win on multiple occassions is Manoel Tobias. At just 25 years old, Sergio Lozano has plenty of time to join them.
The Spanish and FC Barcelona star, who is the only player to have won both Best Young Player of the Year (2011) and Best Player of the World, added "I'm very happy to have been named the Best Player of the World by FutsalPlanet. I feel privileged to receive it!"
He will now focus on winning his next piece of silverwhere as he helps Spain defend the UEFA Futsal Euro trophy in Belgium. It would be the perfect start to the new year for the star of 2013.
