Futsal mania in Shantinagar

Wild Players will be presenting the Minsk Futsal Mania 2014 tournament in January next year. This is the first edition of the five a-side futsal tournament that will bring in enthusiasts from all over the country in a heated competition. Teams from around Nepal will be participating in the contest, with the best of them set to win cash prizes worth Rs 75,000 for first place and Rs 30,000 second place. This is futsal on a scale never seen before here, the biggest in Nepal so far.

Teams will have to pay an entry fee of Rs 6,000 per team to register, and the competition is open to people of all descriptions. The actual tournament itself will be held on January 11 at Shant-inagar Futsal in Shantinagar, and 32 to 40 teams will be competing, depending upon applications received.

The Minsk Futsal Mania will feature teams with five players on each side and a goalkeeper. Participating teams are required to wear team shirts or jerseys while bibs will be provided for the teams without their own jerseys.
