Defending champions Thailand crushed Vietnam 5-0 in the final of the women's futsal event as the 27th South East Asian Games headed into its final weekend on Friday.

Thailand took the lead less than two minutes into the match when Vasinee Pakthongchai opened the scoring.

Thailand doubled the advantage with just under six minutes to go before the interval and followed that up witha third early in the second half.

With another two goals before the final whistle, Thailand were able to retain their crown with ease.
