FIFA.com350 Brazil goals was the magnificent milestone reached by futsal icon Falcao on Friday. The evergreen 36-year-old claimed his landmark strike in A Seleção's 4-1 win over Chile in the Intercontinental Cup, and went on to score three more times - finishing as the tournament’s top scorer - as Brazil secured the trophy.
This latest feat comes just over a year after Falcao became the highest-scoring Brazilian in history, reaching the magic number of 337 en route to inspiring his team to a fairy tale triumph at the FIFA Futsal World Cup Thailand 2012. He had long since become the futsal side's all-time leading marksman, a title he claimed in March 2010 by surpassing Manoel Tobias with his 279th strike. Now Brazil’s supporters have yet another reason to celebrate a man whose goalscoring feats began for them 15-and-a-half years ago in June 1998, and show no signs of stopping.
