PalloLiitto.fiThe Finish Football Association and Finish National Team Head Coach since January 2013, Mico Martic, have agreed a two-year contract extension which expires at the end of 2015. The agreement also includes 2016 if Finland play in the European Championships or World Cup.
He will be responsible for coaching the national team in addition to continuing to work on developing domestic coach education courses. Coach education is the focus for the next two years at regional level. Further Martic's tasks include supporting club coaches.
Mico Martic's playing career lasted for 30 years. He represented Yugoslavia and Croatia on the European Championship and World Cup stage. Martic has completed the Italian Football Federation's highest futsal coaching diploma and has also been a FIFA Instructor since 2005 as well as part of FIFA's Technical Observer Study Group.
