ManchesterFutsal.comAsti have continued their vengeful form with an 11-3 hammering of DHS Naples in Serie A. The northern club have been dominant so far this season with only an opening day 4-4 draw against newcomers Marina blighting their perfect record.
Marina themselves have been making waves in the division. The team currently lie in joint second position with Paduan club Luparense. The two teams are set to face each other in the next set of fixtures.
In France meanwhile, consecutive 3-time champions Sporting Paris have recorded their sixth win on the trot with a 12-4 away win at Bagneux. Although the champions have been in scintillating form so far, they have yet to face anyone in top four.
Barcelona ground out a narrow 2-1 victory to close the gap to second place Murcia. The Catalans have looked shaky at times this season and are currently fighting to maintain within touching distance of current leaders of Inter FS of Madrid.
After picking up silver and bronze medals for the past five years, the club have started the season on fire, scoring lots of goals in victories over Manacor, Montesinos Junior and Galdar Futbol Sala. Currently their only less than perfect result was holding the Catalan champions to a 2-2 draw at home.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the planet, Wales hosted their first two international matches when they faced Andorra at the velodrome in Newport. Wales were unlucky not to achieve a result as they were narrowly beaten 5-4.
Elsewhere, in international matches, England had a stunning 6-6 draw with a Qatar after beating their hosts 3-1 the day before. Spain managed to topple rivals Portugal 3-1 after drawing 1-1, Russia beat Iran 4-2 before holding the mighty Brazil to a 2-2 draw in Maringa, and Italy and Ukraine played out a 2-2 draw in Asti after the Ukrainian’s won a hard fought 4-3 victory in the previous match.
