PROFILE OF AGLA – The I&I is a company that was founded in 1983 by Amedeo Infriccioli, who at first followed the family tradition by entering the construction industry but later expanded his interests to the footwear industry. Within a few years the I&I became a company that solely manufactured and distributed sports shoes. Since the early years Inficciolo and his company devoted itself with passion and commitment to developing high-performance sport products, both for the professional and the amateur. The company was noted for its production of products such as shoes, balls and specific clothing for futsal, which gave birth to the AGLA brand. It is now known and respected in the futsal community. AGLA has become synonymous with quality and reliability whether you are a professional or not.
The history of the AGLA brand is intertwined with the key events in the history of Italian futsal. The brand took its first steps in 1993, particularly focusing on the production of quality footwear. The idea of making custom shoes dates back to 1997. AGLA distributed three thousand molds to athletes and the brand’s craftsmen used these to understand the shape of their feet and create a shoe that fits like a glove. In 1998 the Research & Development was introduced, the company’s key asset and in the same year the Italy players Gianluca Gabriele and Caleca Plini become the first representative players. The following year the company began to produce futsal balls and within a short time they attracted the attention of the futsal world and now are regarded highly by Italian and foreign teams. Shortly after the clothing line was formulated after a collaboration was signed with the Italian Union of Sport for All (UISP), the Italian Sports Works (OPES) and other prestigious centers of national sport.
In 2003 AGLA arrived in the world of professional football and took its first steps outside of Italy. Since 2004 the level has been different; the top division. The 2004-2005 season was characterised by other achievements. The AGLA brand started its foray into the markets of the Rising Sun and is now flourishing there. The footwear received an excellent reception in the market and earned access to the best stores in the country, Meanwhile AGLA was awarded the FIFA APPROVED mark, for football and futsal, entering an exclusive club that only a few companies in the world have to access to. The prestigious mark of approval certifies and guarantees the quality of products produced by AGLA and is the reward of the work completed by the Research and Development department and the skill of its craftsmen.
In the same year, AGLA, secures a collaborative relationship with the National Amatuer League, through which it obtains the status of technical sponsor and official supplier of Divisione calcio a 5. In the following years AGLA signed agreements with Italian and foreign clubs (Belgium & the Netherlands in particular) and with the Iranian National team.
AGLA, the brand, has stood for social awareness, helping to support various football teams in Gabon and participating in projects that aimed to help the integration of foreign immigrants into Italian society through sport. As of July 2013, a new agreement has been signed with Divisione Calcio a 5 which covers clothing, footwear, accessories and, a new innovation, balls.
