The AFCThe third AFC Level 1 Futsal Coaching Certificate Course has concluded in Hong Kong amidst the football association's quest to produce more technical people in Asia's fast growing game.
The course was held from July 29 until August 3 at the Hong Kong Institute of Education and was attended by 21 participants.
Chief course instructor Tsang Wai Chung and assistant instructor Lai Pak Yung attended the brief course closing ceremony.
Tsang has mentioned the aspirations behind the course which is tied up with the island’s intense futsal activities calendar.
“To speed up in futsal coaches education is one of the major targets of the Hong Kong Football Association as plenty of futsal programmes will be put into place by the end of 2013,” he said.
“Competent technical people are urgently required.”
The AFC Futsal Coaching Certificate course belongs to AFC’s specialised courses and candidates must hold the AFC ‘C’ Coaching Certificate as a minimum requirement.
The course is designed to create futsal coaches for the development of this popular game across Asia. The students will be kept up-to-date with the latest changes and improvements in futsal coaching and will cover the practical and theoretical aspects of the game.
Holders of the Level 1 certificate can proceed to take the next credential, Level 2.
