When you bring together sixteen of the world’s best teams together for a tournament, you also bring many of the world’s top coaches. This is the case at the Mini Club World Cup in Kuwait where many of the teams’ trainers have had the opportunity to get together to chat and discuss the game.
All the clubs are staying at the 5* Regency Hotel in Kuwait City and it has been the location for many discussions between coaches who have shared their knowledge and experience between each other. With the futsal community still relatively small many are already familiar with each but it has also given the chance for some to get to know each other for the first time.
Those present include former Thai national team head coach Jose Maria Pazos ‘Pulpis’, FIFA Instructor Mico Martic and current Santiago coach, Santi Valladares. There was also a surprise visit from former Libyan head coach Pablo Prieto who was playing in another tournament nearby with his new team Al Wadha. He was joined by his goalkeeper coach, Andy Reading, and fitness coach, Álvaro Lezáun. It is just another example of how this tournament is haven’t a positive impact on the game of futsal.
