AFC Futsal Club Championship 2013 participating Al Sadd entered into the quarter-finals of the ongoing Kuwait Mini World Futsal Tournament after playing an entertaining 2-2 draw against local club Quadsia on Saturday.

Al Sadd topped Group C with two draws and one win in their three matches while Qadsia are also through after managing a point from the match as Dabiri Tabriz and Sport Colonial of the same group also drew their match earlier on Sunday.

In-form Rodigo Xavier Da Rocha cancelled out Marcio Gomes’s early lead in the 6th minute and Fabio Barreto put the Qataris ahead in the 23rd minute but Rafael Soua managed to find the equalizer in the 31st minute as both the sides progressed into the quarter-finals.

Al Sadd will meet Egypt’s side Misr Lelmakasa in the quarter-final on Tuesday. The Qatari champions and Chonburi Bluewave are competing in the Kuwait Mini World Futsal Tournament as part of their preparations for the finals of AFC Futsal Club Championship 2013 which will take place in Nagoya, Japan next month.
