Kuwait: AFC Futsal Club Championship 2013 participating Chonburi FC and Al Sadd drew their respective matches at the Kuwait Mini World Futsal Club Tournament.

Chonburi FC scored an equalizer with one minute remaining to hold Croatian MNK Alumnus 2-2 while Iran futsal legend Vahid Shamsaee spoilt Al Sadd’s party after scoring a late equalizer for Dabiri Tabriz in a 4-4 draw.

The Thai outfit, featuring in the tournament as part of their preparations for next month AFC Futsal Club Championship 2013, were on the brink of defeat but their Spanish import Rudimar Venancio scored an equalizer one minute from time as the match ended 2-2.

Earlier, Hrvoje Penava opened MNK Alumnus’ account in the second minute but captain Kristada Wongkaeo brought the match at level 1-1 in the 22nd minute. Penava scored his second for the Croatian side in the 38th minute but Venancio’s goal saved the blushes of the Thai powerhouse.

Al Sadd, who are also one of the contenders of the AFC Futsal Club Championship 2013 alongside with Chonburi, played an entertaining 4-4 draw against Tabriz based Iranian outfit Dabiri Tabriz.

Shamsaee, who helped Shenzhen Nanling to qualify for the August finals during the Zone 2 qualifiers of the AFC Futsal Club Championship in April, scored Dabiri’s first and last goals.

With Dabiri leading 1-0 in the first half, the action-packed second half saw Al Sadd scoring four goals within 12 minutes. Ahmed Ismail scored an equalizer in the 21st minute and Al Sadd took a lead for the first time in the match in the 25th minute through Amro Mohssein.

Samer Sami made it 3-1 in the 26th minute and Xavier Da Rocha made it 4-1. However, quick doubles from Seyyed Nasrollah offered a chance of fight-back for the Iranians and Shamsaee’s late goals rescued point for them.
