In the first match of the day from Group C the Iranians will take on the team from Qatar. Dabiri included former Iran National team player Vahid Shamsaei. Shamsaei is regarded as one of the greatest pivots of all time and is the leading goalscorer at international level in world futsal with over 300 goals. Now 37 years old he is still a potent force and will certainly be the player that Al-Sadd must watch closest.

Al-Sadd include several players from the Qatar national team including various Brazilian born players. The club from Doha won the league in 2012 and will play in the AFC Futsal Club Championship in August where the will face another Iranian team, league champions Giti Pasand as well as Group D participants Chonburi Bluewave of Thailand. This should be a close match with two excellent teams from the Asian continent.

In the second game of the day and Group C, Paraguay’s Sport Colonial against home team Qadsia. Colonial have a long history, being founded in 1948. They have won the Paraguay championship on two occasions and participated in the Copa Libertadores the same number of times. Their star player is Sergio Araujo who is very skilful and experienced. He has participated in three World Cups for the Paraguayan national team and been the top scorer of the year in the country 4 times. We anticipate another very close contest.
