Winning teams to receive bounties today

PETALING JAYA: Teams that won their respective competitions in the M-League, especially Super League, Premier League, FAM League and Futsal competitions would receive their prize money and cash incentives from the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), Wednesday.

FAM secretary-general Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin said prize money for M-League winners would amount to RM5.132 million while incentives from broadcast rights would be in the region of RM950,000.

"Match officials for junior competitions like Under-14 and Under-17 would also receive their payments.

The total amount will be about RM8 million," said Hamidin after attending a farewell for former FAM secretary-general Datuk Azzuddin Ahmad at Wisma FAM, Kelana Jaya, Tuesday.

He added that the broadcast sponsorship money of RM30 million was received from Astro for matches telecast live throughout the season.
