Jack helps Escolla Futsal to become the ace of clubs

Hemel Hempstead’s Jack Findlay played his part as the Escolla Futsal U16 side swept to victory at the FA National Youth Futsal Festival Finals in Birmingham.

In a final played by two technical teams, Escolla Futsal drew 1-1 with Birmingham Futsal Club before winning a nerve-wracking shoot-out 3-2.

An understandably elated Jack said: “We’ve worked extremely hard for this and we’ve won this tournament without losing a game so we’re extremely proud.”

Coach Gilberto Damiano added: “What we achieved this weekend was brilliant. I am delighted for the players and for their parents.”

Meanwhile, Dacorum trio Harry McHugh, Joe Hubbard and Sam Pratt were part of the Escolla Futsal U10 side who made it to the semi-finals of the tournament.

The side impressed the FA with their free-flowing Futsal and were unfortunate to be knocked out on penalties after playing a fantastic semi-final.

Escolla coach Rodrigo Sousa said: “We couldn’t have asked for anything more. The boys were brilliant and their attitude matched their technical performances.

“We’re so proud of Harry, Sam, Joe and all the U10 boys.”
