Having already won the county and regional championships, the girls headed to Birmingham on Saturday for the national finals.
They were up against nine other sides at the finals, with the teams split into two groups of five.
First up for the girls was a clash with East Midlands champions FC Aztec, and they ran out 5-2 winners, with Rachel Harle, Cara Pringle and Sinead Murphy sharing the goals.
The much-fancied Lads Club U10 Girls – the West Midlands champions – were next up, but a fine defensive display led by Rosie Richards keeping the opposition out, and Pringle scored the games only goal in the last minute.
Willow Primary, from the North & Yorkshire region, were another tough opponent in the next game, but again, Richards and Phoebe Keys were strong at the back, and with just one second left on the clock, Harle crossed for Emily Field to score the only goal.
That win meant Writtle were assured of top spot ahead of their game with Real Weymouth, but Murphy and Harle secured a 2-1 win over the South West champions.
A semi-final clash with Tottenham Hotspur Ladies U10s was next up, and Writtle were on the front foot from the outset.
Harle put them ahead, but with two minutes to go they were stunned by a Spurs leveller, only for Pringle to side-foot home a late winner .
Liverpool-based St Anne's Rovers Community FC were the opponents in the final, and with both teams having already played five games on the day, tiredness was setting in.
Iona Singleton made a string of great saves to keep the score level, and with two minutes left, Harle lost her marker and fired home what proved to be the winner.
Manager Steve Keys and his number two Iain Sharp described it as "the proudest day of our sporting careers and something we will never forget".
Writtle: Iona Singleton, Phoebe Keys, Rosie Richards, Cara Pringle, Rachel Harle, Emily Field, Grace Sharp, Sinead Murphy, Mia Nicholls, Ellie Riches.
