Arin KumarWednesday, June 26, 2013FORMER national soccer captain Tagi Vonolagi was impressed by the response shown towards the business house futsal league he has organised.
The final rounds of pool games were played on Monday night at the Vodafone Arena in Suva and he said the competition went from being friendly to really competitive.
The league started earlier this month and a total of 22 teams registered for the tournament.
Vonolagi said the quarter-finals would be played next Monday and the semi-finals and finals would be played at a later date.
"While some teams take it so seriously some take the participation as true spirit of business house where winning is immaterial," he said.
Monday's results:
Celtrok 7 APTC 1, Autoworld 2 Touchwood Investment 1, Motibhai Sprints 1 Housing Authority 2, Movement International 1 Digicel II 1, Autoworld 1 Southern Forest 1, APTC 1 Carpenters 7, FBC 1 Celtrok 1, Digicel II 1 Motibhai Sprints 1, Merchant Finance 2 Fiji TV 1, City Engravers 5 Asco Motors 0, Carpenters 5 FBC 1, Commerce Commission 3 Fiji TV 1, Auto World 1 AHA 1.
