Barça Alusport take the lead in the final series for the league title, the Blaugrana will have a chance to win the competition on Friday

FC Barcelona Alusport laid down the law in the Palacio de Deportes in Murcia and took the 2-1 lead in the final series for the league title. With this advantage, the next match of the series will be played at the Palau on Friday, where Marc Carmona’s men will have the chance to claim the league crown.

Once again the keepers Paco Sedano and Rafa stole the limelight. The Barça keeper denied Adri in the opening seconds of the game, while the home team’s keeper did the same with Lozano. The first minutes were intense despite the fact that neither side managed to take control of the game.

The captain shows the way

At the other end of the court, Rafa saved a one-on-one against Lin, and the keeper was tested again when Sergio Lozano tried his luck from long range. In the next play, Torras broke the deadlock with a left-footed rocket of a shot. With the 0-1 on the scoreboard, Sedano played a crucial role in preserving Barça’s lead.

ElPozo tried to fight back through Paulinho, but when the home team pressured the most, Aicardo found himself alone in front of Rafa and he quickly made it 0-2. Minutes later Barça made it three when Wilde scooped up a rebound from a free kick and fired the ball into the back of the net.

El Pozo forced to play with a keeper-player

ElPozo risked falling either farther behind in the second half when Duda decided to play with a keeper-player. The risk didn’t pay off as Paco Sedano fired a goal-to-goal shot and scored Barça’s fourth. In the next play Gréllo pulled one back for the home team. On 26 minutes, Álex sent the ball to the post, and Barça got off lucky again when Paulinho hit the post twice in the span of five minutes.

Nail-bitting finish

Jordi Torras saved Barça when he cleared Miguelín’s shot off the line. With six minutes left to go, Álex made it 2-4. Minutes later, Kike brought the home team within one goal of tying the match.

In the dying minutes of the match, when ElPozo looked to tie the game, but Barça fired for two goal when Lozano and Lin beat Rafa. The end of the match came with 2-6 on the scoreboard, which means Barça will have a shot at winning the league if they defeat ElPozo next Friday at the Palau Blaugrana.
