Marca Futsal won the Italian Championship by defeating Luparense 3-2, claiming their third consecutive victory in the best of 5 series. This is the 2nd time in their history that they have lifted the trophy, the last time was in 2011.

It is also the first time in the history of the best of 5 series that it has been finalised in three games. The team coached by Julio Fernandez recorded the three wins with scores of 3-2, 5-3 and 3-2. Spaniard Fernandez had led fellow finalists Luparense to the title in 2012 before switching to Marca. This is the first time a coach has recorded back to back championship wins with two different clubs.

The result ended Luparense's dreams of finishing a perfect domestic season, they only needed the league to achieve the triple after claiming the Super Cup and Italian Cup earlier in the season. However Marca had a spectacular playoff series after finishing 5th in the regular season. To lift the trophy they defeated Cogianco in the quarter finals; 4th in the regular season, Asti in the semis; 1st in the regular season and finally Luparense, who were runners up in the regular season. They peaked at the optimal time and were deserved champions for 2012/13.
