England look to take 4 nations title

The England national futsal team will compete in a four team tournament in Newcastle this week. The other teams in the tournament are Malaysia, USA and Poland.

The England team was formed in 2006 and there has been a national league in existence since 2008. They recently failed to qualify for the European Championships after three consecutive defeats against Ukraine, Turkey and Slovenia.

However they will hope to take this opportunity to get over this disappointment and pick up some silverware. The USA and Malaysia have little history or reputation in the sport and England will be expecting two victories against these sides.

The battle for the trophy is expected to be between the home nation and Poland. They face each other in the second game of the tournament which will be in a league format with every team playing each other. The team in 1st place once all fixtures are completed will be crowed the champions.

The games take place at Northumbria University and the schedule is as follows:
