Shire Women get boost to play Futsal at National level

The Sutherland Shire Futsal Association Incorporated has been successful in its application to have the region represented in the most elite Women's Futsal Club competition in Australia; that being the F League.

The 2013 inaugural competition for Women includes Futsal Clubs from the Eastern States of Australia. Games will be played on full size courts 20m x 40m, on a home and away basis and under the full conditions of the FIFA Futsal laws of the game.

Open trials will be conducted at Menai Indoor Sports Centre, 98 Allison Crescent, Menai as follows;
8pm to 9pm Friday 26th April 2013,
8pm to 9pm Monday 29th April 2013,
8.30pm to 9.30pm Friday 3rd May 2013

All female players that aspire to represent the Sutherland Shire at National level in Futsal should attend the trial. A selection Sub Committee and Coaching staff will be on hand to finalise the team in accordance with Association policies and procedures.

Our inclusion in the F League only reinforces our commitment towards our Community and the development of Players, Coaches and Officials from grassroots to the most elite levels of Sport. The Association will ensure players existing Football commitments are respected whilst playing within the F League.
