Redland wins top futsal title

THE Redland Piranhas under 10-under 11 age futsal team won the Australian Futsal Summer Championship at Logan's Cornubia Sports Complex on Monday, March 4.

The seven-member Redland team, coached by Richard Godden, had been playing against tough competitive teams since October.

After coming third in the league competition, the team progressed to the semi-finals, which they won against Loganholme Roar.

They then went into the finals, where they faced tough opposition from the Loganholme White team but finally won 2-0.

Team members are now looking forward to playing together in the regional competitions at Mount Gravatt at Easter.
