Renè Gaida was a disappointed man some weeks ago, when announcing the cancellation of the international tournament Murexin Futsal Cup, in which clubs from Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia and Poland were supposed to play. Which was the reason why this decision has been taken? Lack of referees, can you believe it?

"Our club (1. FC Murexin Allstars Wiener Neustadt) have planned an international tournament with teams from Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, Slowakia and Poland on 10th March in Wiener Neustadt. On last friday (Feb 22nd) we had to cancel the tournament because the president of the Lower Austrian Football Federation didn't provide us with referees for the challenge, stating that the futsal season is over! So that basically means: in Austria, with special refer to Lower Austria, it is only possible to play futsal during the championship? What in the rest of the year (9 months!) How could we develop our teams without test matches or tournaments?"
