Indoor Futsal league to benefit RHS girls soccer

Ramona Futbol Club, Inc. is sponsoring an Indoor Futsal league to benefit Ramona High School Girls Soccer program at Wilson Gym.

Futsal is listed as a National Direction of Skills Development that U.S. Soccer has instructed U.S. Academy soccer programs to use. This training will focus on developing the players through fun age appropriate skills and exercises. Futsal gives the opportunity for the player to learn how to control the ball, and move with the ball in a smaller and increasingly faster paced controlled environment, so that when the player moves onto the soccer field, the game is his.

Registration for RHS Futsal will be this Friday, March 8, 5 to 7 p.m. at Ramona Valley Grill, 344 Main St. Those registering can bring the family and enjoy dinner with a 10 percent special discount.
The 12-week session begins March 12. Training sessions will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, and game nights will be on Fridays.

Recreational and competitive levels are available for ages 4 through 19. The cost is $45 for the 12-week session, and $35 for RFC/AFCSD members.
