Kampung Bunga Youth to host futsal tournament in Serian

KUCHING: Kampung Bunga Youth will be holding a futsal tournament at Serian Indoor Stadium from March 10 to 17 in collaboration with Community Sports Club for Tarat (Kesutar).

The competition is part of the community programme for the people of Serian.

24 teams will be vying for the Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn challenge trophy.

Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Tarat Youth chief Councillor Stanley Sila, who attended the tournament draw on Sunday said, “The tournament’s objectives are to promote a healthy lifestyle and enlarge the network of the youths in the area.”

In addition to the trophy and medals, the champion team will RM700 in cash prize, the runner-up RM500, third finisher RM300 and fourth place team RM200. There will also be trophies for the best player of the finals as well as the top scorer of the tournament.

Event organising chairman Macklin Peter, Kesutar representative and PBB Tarat deputy Youth chief Solo Saint D’Jones, committee members and all team managers were present at the draw.
