February 8th, a very sad day for Albanian and international futsal. Alfred Ziaj, head of the Albanian futsal committee and member of the Albanian FA executive committee, has passed away yesterday morning at the early age of 52, due to disease.

His funeral will be held today at 12.00 in Vlorë.

Former soccer player for Flamurtari (1979-1991 winning two national cups and one league titles) Ziaj also represented the Albanian National team (2 caps).

Since 2001 he has been leading the Albanian Futsal Committee, becoming a member of the local FA Executive committee in 2010.

He will be missed. Lamtumire Fredi!
