The ‘Bronze’ of Agla - Marco Ercolessi

MARCO ERCOLESSI was one of the four ALGA musketeers from the Italian national team that won a bronze medal at the World Cup in Thailand.

MARCO, how would you rate the experience in Thailand?
"It 's been good. Every game I have played to the most of my possibilities. Compared with the last Euro in Croatia I finally found place om tje tea,. I think I played a good World Cup and this is also true for my team-mates."

What memories will stay with you?
"Unlike the Euro in Zagreb, the adventure in Thailand lasted very long and so it was not easy to be away from my family for such a long time. Luckily my mom and my girlfriend arrived for the semi-finals so I was able to share with them the last part of this experience."

Do you have any regrets?
"On a personal level I felt sorry for the mistake I committed against Portugal, which took place at a time of chaos. In general I would say the match against Spain, at least how it finished. We played a good first half."

How would you rate Italy's World Cup?
"I give it an 8. The national team once again achieved one of the top 3 places in the world. We reconfirmed our status despite a generational change. This achivement was positively influenced by the environment as well as the ability of the squad because the cohesion of the group filled in some gaps.

Has the strongest team won the championship?
"Perhaps the strongest, not the one that was the best. Spain had a route to the final much more complicated than Brazil but it seemed batter. It should be noted, however that Spain and Brazil are still a step ahead of us."

Who was the surprise team?
"Colombia. They had good players and managed to stay until the end, achieving fourth place."

Who was the best player?
"Jordi Torras of Spain."

How did your AGLA CONDOR perform?
"Very well because they are soft and reinforced in several places, even in the sole. I'm very happy with them.
