Tonight semifinals starts: USJ faces Pro’sTonight, at the Saint-Joseph University Stadium in Mansourieh, the semi-final series 1 of the Lebanese National Division 1 Championship will start with USJ- ranked second during the regular season- facing Pro’s café team- former Lebanese champion and the third ranked of this year’s regular season.
The teams will start this evening at 7pm with the first game of the 5 possible confrontations as the team that will qualify to the final will precede the other to achieve three victories.
Although Pro’s Manager Georges Mayne and his players beat USJ during the regular season 5-1 and tied back 5-5, the Jesuit’s Manager Maroun El-Khoury would not surrender the battle to the experienced side easily after all what his players have achieved this season.
Pro’s team will rely on Ibrahim Hammoud, Mohammad Iskandarani and the brilliant Abbas Tahan. USJ will depend as usual on the largest possible number of young players in addition to Lebanese international Karim Abou Zeid and Michel Matta.
Game 2 of the series will be played on Wednesday January, 30 at the President Lahoud Stadium at 9pm. Game 3 will be hosted again by USJ on Friday February 1, at 7pm. Game 4 and 5 If necessary on Saturday February 2, at 7pm at Lahoud and Sunday February 3, at 7pm at USJ.
In the second semi-final series Al- Sadaka Club will face AUST starting Tuesday January, 29.
