Humberto Honorio, AGLA testimonial ...
The ‘Bronze’ of Agla – Humberto Honorio

There has been double joy for AGLA SPONSORED HUMBERTO HONORIO. The player of Menichelli’s blues received an award at the Trivento Football Gala held at the Municipal Theatre of Vicenza and organised by the Italian Footballers’ Union in collaboration with Triveneto Ussi (Unione Stampa Sportiva) Press assocation (awards presented to the best players of teams in Triveneto including Luciano of Chievo and Udinese’s Di Natale.) Later he was named the best player in the Italian Super Cup, which was held on Tuesday in Bassano del Grappa and saw Luparense prevail 4-2 after penalty kicks at the expense of Asti.
Are you happy with your awards?
My president received an award in Vicenza for the title won last year. I contributed a lot to that achievement but the whole team did well. Yesterday (Tuesday) I played quite well, even if the game ended 0-0. Given how things turned out maybe it was better to give that recognition to a goalkeeper. Maybe PUTANO (AGLA SPONSORED) as he also saved two penalties. Otherwise it was a prize I was very happy to receive.”

Will the success in the Super Cup be an impetus for the championship?
”Definetly. The competition is very even and competitive. The most competitive ever. At least 5 teams are at the same level and 2 or 3 have reinforced well. Some say that Asti is already starting to get away but in my opinion a hiccup is around the corner for them, as has already happened to Luparense and others in the league.”

With regard to The World Cup, are you satisfied with your experience in Thailand?
“For sure. It is the event in which all futsal players would like to play in. It is difficult to describe the many feelings that you experience. I remember that the first game and the challenge of the second round were the most difficult because it was emotionally very powerful.”

Did Italy make the most of its opportunities?
“Yes. Spain was an insurmountable obstacle. One of the two really strong teams in the world. They are still one step above us.”

And can you catch them?
“With work and learning from them.”

Do you have any regrets?
“Personally, I could have done better.”

Who was the best player of the tournament?
“Ari and Neto of Brazil have been the best even in the final against Spain.”

Who was the surprise of the tournament?
“Colombia because nobody imagined they could make the top 4. They have beaten Ukraine who were the favourite before the game.”

How did your AGLA CONDOR perform in Thailand?
“I would say very, very well. They were great in every game.”
