Three years have gone since the last appearance of the Malaysian Women National Futsal Team. At that time the asian tigers found no glory during the 3rd Asian Indoor Games played in Ho Chi Minh City but things have changed.

No doubts on the fact that Malaysia represent the Group B (and maybe the whole tournament) underdogs in Oliveira de Azeméis, but the Marcelo Serpa's advent as Futsal Technical Director for the FAM provides a huge room for hope, looking for both men and women national teams improvement.

On next monday a baptism of fire against the experienced Russia will work as tournament opening game and will give to the Serpa's tigers a better understanding of their chances in the 3rd Women Futsal World Cup.
