New Straits TimesSchool kids get futsal, netball coachingTHE 11th Milo Play More Learn More camp was held last Sunday at the Community Field, KRT Taman Bangi Permai, Bangi where about 300 primary school children attended.
The chairman of Rukun Tetangga Mahendran Muniandy officially launched the camp.
The children were taught the basic skills of futsal and netball by qualified coaches followed by a competition-cum-carnival.
Ng Ping Loong, the sports marketing manager of Nestle, said: "This sports camp is yet another Milo corporate initiative to inculcate good sports values in our children to help them grow to faces life's challenges with greater confidence."
He added: "Sports is a very good teacher of life's values and is also a very effective way to promote the spirit of patriotism, racial integration and unity in our children."
Free T-shirts and certificates of participation were given to all the children with the top four teams in the two sports receiving winners' medals and Milo products.
The 12th and final camp for the year will be held on Sunday at Padang Perbandaran Sandakan, Sandakan, Sabah.
