Colombia eliminates Iran from Futsal World Cup

Colombia stunned Asian heavyweight Iran in FIFA Futsal World Cup Thailand on Sunday.

The South American nation defeated Iran 2-1 at Bangkok’s Nimibutr Stadium in the knock out stage.

Iran was dominant team in the first half and they created so many chances but they didn’t work.

In the second half, the Iranian team was the better team once again but they failed to open Juan Lozano’s goal.

Heroic Lozano set up a goal 10 minutes into the second half and Yefri Duque (29'59") opened Mostafa Nazari’s goal.

Shortly after, Iran’s Mostafa Tayyebi was sent off after a foul on Colombian keeper.

Angellott Caro (33'41") increased the lead in the (33'41") and less than one minute Ali Rahnam pulled a goal back.

Colombia will play Ukraine on Wednesday in the quarter-final round.
