AFF Web SiteThais Fall To Australia in Futsal FriendlyOctober 23, 2012BANGKOK (23 Oct 2012) – Thailand’s preparation for the FIFA Futsal World Cup next month suffered a bump yesterday when they fell to a humiliating 5-4 defeat to Australia in the second game of the All Stars Futsal Festival. The hosts had begun the meet with a 4-3 win over Egypt two days earlier.
At one point, Thailand were trailing by four goals off strikes from Keenan Duimpie, Tobias Seetos, Gregory Giovenali and Jarrod Basger.
And while Supawut Thienklang did pull a goal back for Australia to lead 4-1 at the break, there really was no way back after Basger nailed the team’s second goal for the visitors to be 5-1 in front.
Thailand cut back the deficit with two goals from Apiwat Jamcharoen and then another from Natee Jeepon for the final score line.
The other two teams taking part are Solomon Islands and Panama.

AFF Web SiteThird Straight Defeat for ThailandOctober 27, 2012BANGKOK (27 Oct 2012) – With just days left to the start of the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2012, the third straight defeat for hosts Thailand in the All Stars Futsal Festival certainly do not bode well for their up and coming campaign at home.
The Thais were hoping to use the All Stars Futsal Festival this week to inject confidence into the squad led by Vic Hermans.
But after struggling to beat Eqypt 4-3 in their first match, it was all downhill for the ASEAN kingpins when they fell to a 5-4 loss to Australia in their second match.
In the third game, Thailand fared no better when they fell 4-3 to the Solomon Islands while in the fourth and final tie, they could not get the better of Panama as the visitors strutted to a 7-5 victory.
For the FIFA Futsal World Cup which begins on 1 November, the Thais are in Group A against Ukraine, Paraguay and Costa Rica.
