Bangkok warms up with All-Star Festival

Friday 19 October 2012

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and Football Association of Thailand have organised a warm-up tournament that will kick off this Sunday, involving several of the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2012 participants.

The Bangkok All-Star Futsal Festival will be hosted between 21 and 25 October at Keelaves 2 Gymnasium, Bangkok, one of the official training sites for November’s FIFA Futsal World Cup.

Five teams - Australia, Egypt, Panama, Solomon Islands and Thailand - will take part in one round-robin series of matches, looking to fine-tune their preparations and impress their coaches ahead of their first FIFA Futsal World Cup group matches.

As well as providing valuable preparation for the players, the Football Association of Thailand is looking to use the event to further raise public interest in the FIFA Futsal World Cup, which will kick off in Bangkok and Nakhon Ratchasima on 1 November.

On 26 October, the BMA will host a dinner reception for the ambassadors and consuls from all 23 qualified countries, extending the renowned Thai hospitality that has earned the host country the title of ‘The Land of Smiles’.

Tickets for the FIFA Futsal World Cup Thailand 2012 are available now and you can find all of the necessary information by accessing the link on the right hand side.
