The AFC.comJapan ready for futsal causeThursday, 20 September 2012Tokyo: Japan is delighted to be the first member association to be visited for an AFC MA and Club Futsal Development Assessment Visit which kicked off on Thursday at JFA House and has pledged its readiness to cooperate with the AFC in the development of the game in the continent.
A three-man delegation, headed by AFC Futsal Director Ali Targholizade, was warmly welcomed by JFA President Kuniya Daini, JFA General Secretary Michihiro Tanaka and Chairman of JFA Futsal Committee Yasuhiro Matsuzaki.
The JFA feel honoured for the visit and pledge to render its full cooperation for the further development of the game in the East Asian nation and the continent.
"Your visit is very much welcome,” said Daini. “We will do our best to assist you."
Tanaka added: "It's our pleasure to assist AFC and share our futsal knowledge. I hope all of you enjoy your stay here."
"We are delighted and honoured to be the first MA to be assessed by AFC (in the AFC MA and Club Futsal Development Assessment Visit),” said Matsuzaki. “This is another indication that Japan futsal is heading to the right direction.”
The JFA made presentations during the kick-off meeting that included Japanese futsal’s general overlook, administration, competitions, coach education and league.
Targholizade presented on the general outlook and current futsal activities in Asia as well as explained the objectives of the visit.
"We are thankful to the JFA for their support to Asian futsal,” he said.
"There are eight objectives in the AFC MA and Club Futsal Development Assessment Visit which are to review current AFC Futsal MAs’ activities and procedures, to study the development of futsal in Asia, to exchange futsal experiences among MAs, develop the AFC Futsal Club Championship, synchronise top-level MAs’ futsal activities, to facilitate futsal networking for top futsal MAs, to make future recommendations and generally to develop Asian futsal.
"We also strongly believe that the JFA, one of the pioneers in Asian futsal, will help in the development of futsal in this continent,” he concluded.
The four-day assessment visit will spend the first three days in Tokyo and the on the last day, the assessment team will be in Osaka.
