Tuan to sit on futsal World Cup finals board

VietNamNet Bridge – FIFA has appointed the Viet Nam Football Federation's former general secretary Tran Quoc Tuan as a member of the executive management board for the FIFA Futsal World Cup finals to be held from November 1-18 in Thailand.

Tuan, a member of the FIFA Futsal Committee, is deputy head of the Asian Football Confederation's Futsal Committee.

The final round will see 24 teams battle it out for the title including five Asian teams: Iran, Japan, Australia, Kuwait and the hosts Thailand.

The teams will be divided into six groups, and the top two from each group plus the four best third-placed teams will progress to the knock-out stages.
