Solomon Islands national futsal squad, the famous Kurukuru team has been boosted with new training kits to support their World Cup preparations thanks to Hatanga Limited Company.

The training kits include training shirts, shorts, drinking bottles, bags to hold training gears and ID card holders for identification of each player.
According to the company representative, James Kili Hatanga Company Limited sponsorship became possible through links between the two young owners of the company, Adam and Jeremy Bartlett.

He said the two brothers for a long time has been very supportive towards the Kurukuru team and opted to boost the team in their World Cup preparations since no other company has come forward with such assistance.

He said it is a show of leadership to help young sports men of the nation and a call and other local companies should follow the same path since the Kurukuru team will be representing the nation as a whole in the upcoming World Cup.

“The Kurukuru team will enter the World Cup as the Solomon Islanders ambassadors so we should all play our role to help them prepare for this world event,” he said.

Kurukuru captain, the futsal sensation Elliot Ragomo in return thanked Hatanga for the assistance.

“As team captain of the Kurukuru squad I would like to thank Hatanga for their generous support.

“The Kurukuru boys really appreciate the new training kits,” he said.

Ragomo said they have been training as a national squad for the country but have not received any help and Hatanga is the first company to come forward to support.

“They are the first company to step in to assistance as we go near the FIFA Futsal World Cup.

“The assistance has made us feel like professionals wearing uniforms during training and having our own training bags and water bottles.

“This really boosts the morale of the players,” he added.

Ragomo calls on other companies to show some support as part of the nation’s contribution in their preparation.

The FIFA Futsal World Cup will kick off on November in Thailand.
