White Tigers FC to compete in national U 12 futsal tourney

KUCHING: White Tiger FC will be representing Sarawak in the upcoming national under 12 futsal tournament to be held in Kuala Lumpur in September.
According to the manager, Terry Enjeng the team is looking forward to the upcoming event after losing this year’s MBKS Kuching Fest junior football tourney held at Jubilee Ground recently.

Despite finishing top in the round robin league, they narrowly lost 1-2 to Team Kickalob K14 in the exciting finals.
“We have to put the defeat behind and to concentrate on preparing the team for our trip to Kuala Lumpur on September,” said Terry who claimed to be the only woman in the state managing a football team.

She disclosed the team comprised of players from all races and was formed on June 2009 to take part in Alan Vest Cup under 12 and Arena Sukan under 14 futsal tournaments.
They won the Arena Sukan under 12 event for two consecutive years and was selected to represent Sarawak for the national meet.
The KL-bound team players are Michael, Marcel Owen, Izzatul, Nudzul, Haziq, Hazeeq Daud Akmal, Darrell, Moses and Shaun Leong.
