FIFA futsal and event manager Jaime Yarza told a press conference yesterday that he saw progress in the contruction and renovation of stadiums for the Nov 1-18 tournament.
"We are pleased with the construction and renovation of the venues. The preparations for the tournament have made considerable progress since the last inspection," he said.
"We will report this to FIFA."
The venues under renovation are the Indoor Stadium and Nimibutr Gymnasium and a new stadium in Bangkok's Nong Chok district is also under contruction.
Yarza said he will come back to inspect the venues again next month when Thailand face Spain in a warm-up match.
Yarza also unveiled the ball for the tournament called Tango 12 which is a smaller version of the one used at Euro 2012.
Worawi Makudi, president of the Football Association of Thailand, said the renovation was almost complete and the Nong Chok stadium would be ready as scheduled in October.
