Don Burgess20/1/2012FRIDAY, JAN. 20: Social Club picked up their first victory in the Women’s Futsal League when they trounced Hamilton Parish Hot Peppers 7-0 last Saturday at Bermuda College.
Goretti Clementino had a hat trick while Chai-T had a brace with Sandra Medeiros and Tahkeesa Welch adding solo tallies.
In spite of the loss, The Hot Peppers are one of the fan favourites with an exuberant youthful squad who play with bountiful joy.
North Village were firing on all cylinders as they had little difficulty in getting past Dandy Star 2 team 8 to 1.
Tschana Wade was her usual brilliant self with a hat trick. Whitnae Duerr bagged two goals while Khyla Brangman, Shuntae Todd, and Kyla Ramatar each added one to the scoreline for the Lady Rams.
Isarell Wolfe had the lone reply for Dandy Stars 2, who had no answer to the Lady Rams’ dominant and balanced attack.
PHC managed to slip past Dandy Stars 1 team 3 to 2 as Aaliya Nolan, Kali Lespere, and Genevana Simmons scored in the victory for PHC.
Shawnette Perott and Zarah Gibbons helped make this the closest game of the night with strikes for Stars.
Both teams played exciting end to end action, with PHC just holding on at the end for the win.
Robin Hood put in seven goals past Somerset in what may have been a bit flattering scoreline.
There was no doubt that Hood displayed superior passing skills, but Somerset was competitive throughout the contest.
Cheyra Bell led all scorers with three for Hood while teammate Tamisha Darrell added two. Precious Smith and AeKeita Fubler completed the scoring for Hood.
Sierra Fisher helped make sure Somerset wasn’t left with a zero on the scoreboard.
Games this Saturday will begin at 5pm at the Bermuda College gym.
