County FA launches Futsal feast

FUTSAL The Somerset FA is launching a new concept in small-sided football with the introduction of an FA Futsal Fives league in Bath.

Matches will take place at Ralph Allen School from Monday, February 6, onwards and the league is part of a nationwide drive by the FA to encourage adult teams to play Futsal.

Played indoors with a smaller, heavier ball, Futsal is FIFA and UEFA's recognised format of five-a-side football and in recent years has been embraced by the FA. FIFA claim that it is the fastest-growing indoor sport in the world and it is hugely popular outside of the UK.
