Perth Youth FutsalTHE Perth Youth Futsal sessions continue tonight (Friday).
It’s a revised start time of 6.30pm for the PYF Skillz School on Court 3 of the main arena at Bell’s Sports Centre, followed by the 7pm start for the PYF Academy, the 8pm start for the 14/15 league and the 9pm start for the 16/17 league.
Players and parents are reminded that session payments are payable monthly in advance, and that the wearing of the PYF Skillz School kit will be compulsory in 2012.
Teams are reminded to submit their completed Bonus Ball entry forms for the next draw, which will be held on Saturday, December 31.
Training sessions continue for the PYF U14, U16 and U18 Academy teams, with players receiving intensive coaching in order to prepare them for upcoming trips. Only players selected and attending the PYF Academy training sessions are eligible to participate in upcoming trips/tournaments.
The club are running a PYF Level 1 training course from 6.30–7.30pm on Friday, December 16, for new coaches who are joining PYF, and due to demand from various quarters the club will hold a Futsal coaching course open to the general public on Friday, January 6. The three-hour course will start at 7pm and will cost £25 per person.
Perth Youth Futsal are holding their annual Sportsman’s Dinner on Saturday, March 24, at the Lovat Hotel. Tickets £35.
Perth Saltires were in action on Monday night and they managed to secure the win that confirmed their status as Phase One winners. Both Perth Saltires and PYF Saltires play this Monday when they begin their League Cup campaigns, with Perth Saltires defending the trophy they have won for the last two seasons.
The head coach of PYF and Perth Saltires, Steve Chatila, has advised the club he plans to retire from coaching commitments at the end of this season. The club are looking for volunteer coaches for Monday and/or Friday night sessions.
