Carlos AruafuWednesday, 14 December 2011Four futsal teams will go head to head today for the semi final showdown in the Men’s open futsal championship by Central Kingz FC.
They are Koloale, Northern United White, G.Camp and Luapel yellow.
These teams made their way through to the semi finals through a tough road after defeating some of the top futsal teams in Honiara with the likes of, KOSSA, Central Kings, Rove West and Sokamora.
Koloale made it through after a 1-0 win against Rove West.
It was Tony Otini who slotted home the winner for Koloale in the second half of extra time after receiving a well placed pass by Francis Lafai.
Northern United despite strong resistance from Sokamora cruised their way through with a 4-0 win from a double by James Egeta, and a goal each by Jack Wetney and Coleman Makau.
G.Camp did well in their match which caused the upset of the competition ousting hosts Central Kings 4-0.
Luapel Yellow led by Elliot Ragomo and Robert Laua made another stunning performance for the day defeating KOSSA 5-2 to seal a spot in the semi finals.
The first match for today will be between Northern United and Koloale at 1:30pm followed by the second match between G.Camp and Luapel Yellow.
