Khmer Super Red win Futsal League title

Khmer Super Red captured the 2011 Cambodian Futsal League title yesterday afternoon by beating Preah Khan Reach 13-9 in the final at the indoor hall of Old Stadium.

Defending champions qb picked up third place after barely overcoming Daniel FC 12-11 in their earlier play-off match.

According to Football Federation of Cambodia general secretary Kul Sophana, Super Red collected a cash prize of six million riels (US$1,493), while the runners-up walked away with four million riels, and two million riels for third.

Preah Khan Reach won an additional 40,000 riels for the Fair Play award, while Ung Slot of Khmer Super Red picked up the Golden Boot trophy with 72 goals to earn a 30,000-riel bonus.
