Despite taking the lead through Mohammed Radhi, Bahrain collapsed later in the game to concede five goals, two of which came in the first-half.
It was the second game for Bahrain in Group 'B', played at Al Arabi Club's gym. Iraq and the UAE are the other teams in this group.
The Bahrainis headed into this key clash seeking their maiden win in the competition and stay on course towards reaching the semi-finals. But Bahrain, coached by Ihsan Al Abbasi, were unable to maintain their early lead while facing one of the continent's best futsal teams who now lead this four-team group with six points, having defeated the UAE 3-1 in their opener.
Al Abbasi was also banking on Al Sharqawi brothers - Mohammed and Mahmood besides Thamer Shammous, Mohammed Sultan, Ayman Al Abbasi, Hussain Kazerooni, Bassil Sultan and Yasser Hassan.
Also spearheading Bahrain yesterday were Mohammed Al Satrawi, Hamad Dassas, Jassim Saleh, Ali Saleh, Mohammed Radhi and Sayed Mohammed Hameed.
Bahrain will play their third and last game of the group today against the UAE at 6.45pm.
The Bahrainis must win today's game by a four-goal margin to advance into the competition's last four.
The week-long event also serves as a qualifier for the AFC Futsal Championship finals, to be held next year in the UAE.
