The AFC.comAFC checks Futsal UAE 2012 facilities Tuesday, 11 October 2011Kuala Lumpur: An AFC inspection team will be in the UAE on 11-14 October 2011 to check facilities for the AFC Futsal Championship UAE 2012.
The team led by AFC Futsal Director Ali Targholizadeh will meet with the Local Organising Committee (LOC) before inspecting stadiums and training fields on 12 October.
On 13 October, the team will again meet with the LOC to share its inspection findings.
The qualification round of the competition is divided into four zones with the top three teams from each zone qualifying for the 16-nation tournament proper along with three direct entrants – defending champions Iran, runners-up Uzbekistan and third-placed Japan – and hosts UAE.
The qualification round for the South/Central, Asean and East Zones will be held from 13 to 28 November while the West Zone qualification will take place from 9 to 13 December.
