Holsworthy High triumps in state futsal finals

HOLSWORTHY High School students have a special touch on the futsal court.

The school has achieved outstanding success in the Viking futsal competition, with the under-14 girls and under-16 boys winning their state final - the under-16 girls and under-19 boys came second.

Girls futsal coach Katherine Pardalis said this year’s players were particularly talented.

Three of the school’s teams were invited to represent the state at the Viking National School Futsal competition, which was hosted by Brisbane.

Students Ryan Walker and Daniel Oud were each nominated as top five players in their divisions.

Today, the under-16 boys will compete at the three-day Australasian Champion of Champions.
