Maksak futsal tournament starts next month

SARIKEI: The divisional Sarawak Government Services Welfare and Recreational Council (Maksak) futsal team will be taking part in state level tournament in Kapit from Oct 1 to 2.

Sarikei Resident, Michael Dawi Alli handed over the Divisional flag to the team at his conference room here yesterday.

He reminded the players to give their best but not at the expense of sportsmanship spirit.

“Like any other teams, our aim is to win in the competition but victory will be more meaningful if achieved with the highest level of sportsmanship,” he stressed.

Describing the players and official as ambassadors of the division, Michael who is also the Divisional Maksak chairman, advised them to always make it a point to carry the good name of Sarikei.

The divisional squad which is leaving for Kapit today comprises of eight players- Mohd Adi Waqash Ishak, Muhafizar Sabeki, Abang Aedy Zakry, Mohd Azaman Rambli, Fadillah bit, Jumaidee Abdullah, Ridhwan Abdul Razhim and Mohd Norhafiz Najid is led by by Shafiee Naim as Team Manager, Mohamad Irtidzar Razali (assistant manager) and Zulkipli Rosli (Coach).
